khier Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 1938 Phantom Corsairhttp://silodrome.com/phantom-corsair/ Well, in my opinion, as the name implies. it fits to the Phantom. What do you think?
drsnapper55 Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 Agreed - might even pass for a villain car like 'The Penguin'
Ace-Garageguy Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 I think the Phantom Corsair... would have been a better choice for the first Batmobile than this (which always made me think of a Barbie-goes-S&M kind of thing)...
Erik Smith Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 You would need to be a superhero with x-ray vision to drive it...
Crazy Ed Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 (edited) How's 'bout "Commando Cody and his lost Planet Airmen". It'd even be period correct. Imagine it as the origional Spy Car - Rockets, Machine Guns, and on and on. Edited January 22, 2016 by Crazy Ed
Jantrix Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 (edited) The Phantom was a fella who wore purple in the jungle on a white horse. I think perhaps the Shadow or Will Eisners the Spirit would be a better fit for this one. Edited January 22, 2016 by Jantrix
khier Posted January 22, 2016 Author Posted January 22, 2016 Guys, your comments are like an echo of what I had in mind..... The phantom comes first, Shadow second, and Batman third. Too bad there are (almost) no models of this car in 1/24
Draggon Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 The Penguin is a good choice, or the Riddler. A bunch of ? marks all over that smooth black body would be cool.
pharoah Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 (edited) It's a "Flying Wombat". If you're young at heart.. Edited January 23, 2016 by pharoah
unclescott58 Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Ah, the good old Phatom Corsair. Since the Phatom hangs out in the jungle and is known for riding a horse. I don't think it fits him. There are two "super" heroes famous for riding around in sleek black cars. Batman and Green Hornet. The would work well for either one. Just maybe need to ad a large dorsal fin, center, rear, to the car to be a great Batmobile.
