afx Posted April 3, 2017 Author Posted April 3, 2017 Blasphemy!!! That's a Grand Sport Corvette color!!!
mecklm Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 Wow, you really have a knack for details and finishes that give a realistic feel to your Cobras. Even your progress photos can easily be confused with the real thing sitting in some fab shop. I hope there's a lot more Cobra variations out there because it is fun and inspiring to watch your builds.
Intmd8r Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 Final engine bay and interior. That's a good looking view!
Randy D Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 Hi JC, I'm with Steve, love the view !!!! Color looks great. Randy

RancheroSteve Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 Final engine bay and interior.I'm loving this one, JC!I wasn't aware of the discrepancy over the blue colors - I had always assumed Shelby's "Viking Blue" was the same as Ford's, which is the color that my '63 Ranchero was when it came from the factory. It was (badly) repainted by the time I got it, but a few chips of the original Viking Blue present themselves from time to time.
afx Posted April 4, 2017 Author Posted April 4, 2017 Thank you for the interest and the comments gentlemen - much appreciated. Here is the finished chassis.
Ace-Garageguy Posted April 5, 2017 Posted April 5, 2017 Always a pleasure to see your beautiful, clean work progress and finally come together.
afx Posted April 5, 2017 Author Posted April 5, 2017 Thanks Bill. Five FIA Roadster where built. Each carried a different color nose stripe to help the team identify the cars. 2259 – white (heavily damaged in crash at Sebring ’64 and was scrapped) 2260 – yellow 2301 – maroon 2323 – orange 2345 – white (completed after 2259 was scrapped therefore white stripe reassigned) Even though the Scale Coachwork decals are 1/24 scale I think they fit just fine.
afx Posted April 6, 2017 Author Posted April 6, 2017 (edited) Thanks Maxx. Wheels installed. I decided to use the Revellogram 427 Cobra knock-offs. They look great once you strip off the useless chrome plating. Edited April 6, 2017 by afx
250 Testa Rossa Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 Thanks Maxx. Wheels installed. I decided to use the Revellogram 427 Cobra knock-offs. They look great once you strip off the useless chrome plating. Those look great, JC. Keep up the awesome work. Maybe HRM could cast up a few of those knock offs .
afx Posted April 9, 2017 Author Posted April 9, 2017 (edited) I'm calling this one done. I'll post more pictures "Under Glass" when I have better lighting. Edited April 9, 2017 by afx
