665@213 Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 (edited) Hey everyone. Finally cracked open my 69 F100 kit and started cutting and lowering it the way it should be. Boxwood green and Wimbledon white trim, wheels, bumpers, and grille. Using a set of resin wheels and stock hubcaps. Power will be a new 5 liter Ford and a 6 speed. All comments welcome! I googled "resin cast steel wheels" and that took me to a seller named forward resin on ebay. I think they are 9.99 a set plus shipping. I've gotten several sets. 665@213 Posted February 28, 2016 Author Posted February 28, 2016 Thanks for the comments! Did some work on the suspension & engine placement today. Nascar taurus front upper & lower arms. Using the 5 liter from the ' 13 Boss 302 kit and upper intake from the '14 Mustang GT. Rear suspension will be the 4 link setup from the AMT Wagon rod.
665@213 Posted February 28, 2016 Author Posted February 28, 2016 I bought the '71 Ranger longed just for the rear bumper Lol. A couple more.
gatorincebu Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Looking really good about now. I like your rear bumper. Be Well Gator
665@213 Posted March 4, 2016 Author Posted March 4, 2016 (edited) Hey everyone. Not a huge update, but I did get some mock up done on the rear suspension. I modified the crossmember from the AMT Wagon rod and modified the 4 link bars a bit. Now I need to scour the parts boxes for some decent looking coil overs. Also started filling some mounting points from the leaf spring attaching points. Edited March 4, 2016 by 665@213
Davewilly Posted March 4, 2016 Posted March 4, 2016 looking good! I really need to snag a couple of these kits...
Greg Pugh Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 Oh! This is just my speed! I love what I'm seeing so far. Kudos for the motor choice too!
665@213 Posted March 6, 2016 Author Posted March 6, 2016 Thanks everyone! I got a little bit more done on the F100 today. I tightened up the gap on the rear bumper, got some color on the wheels and washed the hubcaps.
665@213 Posted March 6, 2016 Author Posted March 6, 2016 (edited) Also cleaned up the frame a bit more, finished all the mock up of the front and rear suspension. I modified the firewall to get a little more clearance for the engine. Also mocked up the radiator from the Boss 302 kit Edited March 6, 2016 by 665@213
