IceMan Collections Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 (edited) Here's one I finished recently. Factory Stock...or close to it, I guess. I'm sure I missed a few details. Thanks for looking. Edited February 27, 2016 by iceman-555
Balsa Manufaktur Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 (edited) I love it. Great job! The Victoria is a beautiful model. I think i will try to do it. The BMW 327 from 1939 on which i am working currently is driving me crazy. Edited February 27, 2016 by Balsa Manufaktur
Lovefordgalaxie Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 Great job!!I really liked the colors.I will just add two little details, that my Ford blue blood are screaming, so you can correct it.You opened the roof, and installed the Plexiglas top. The thing is, the car is missing the chrome crown that goes with the glass top. You see, the original car was called a Ford Fairlane Crown Victoria Skyliner. What I mean is: The glass top was a Crown Victoria option, so you have to have the chrome crown if you want to go the factory stock way.Without it, the car is a Ford Fairlane Victoria, and Fairlane Victorias didn't have the option of the glass top. Of course one could just buy the parts and have them installed on a Victoria, it wouldn't be hard at all, just very expensive. The other detail, and this is something a lot of people do, is to just paint Ford engines blue. There are some Fords with blue engines prior to 1966, when Ford officially started painting all engines blue, but those were on specific years and applications. A 1956 Ford has the engine painted Ford Engine Red, with black valve covers and argent air filter. I think the engine color is not a big deal, after all, it will only be seen if you let the hood open. The chrome crown by other hand... Well, it's a easy fix.
IceMan Collections Posted February 27, 2016 Author Posted February 27, 2016 Thanks everyone. And thank you, Tulio. I know you have a lot of information on a lot of these Fords. I will look into fixing that. Was that part of the it that I missed or would foil on the edges work the same, you think?

It's made by gluing three parts on the kit on the body. Two side panes on the place of the "B" columns, and the arch on the roof. All three parts are in the chrome parts tree.
Harry P. Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 And while we're being specific... that plex roof panel was tinted a very obvious green on the real car. The photo also shows the chrome "tiara" that Tulio was talking about. Those parts are on the kit's chrome tree.
JollySipper Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 I like it, especially the next to last pic...! It has a mild custom look to it without the crown trim..........
IceMan Collections Posted February 28, 2016 Author Posted February 28, 2016 Thanks Tulio and Harry. I see it now. Thanks TJ

If anyone wants one, just tell me.
Dann Tier Posted March 4, 2016 Posted March 4, 2016 Nice build! Really like the valve covers as well!!
