dub Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 Wait a sec , , ,Jim Haught ,, as in Scale Auto head honcho Jim Haught is gonna wear a MCM name tag ??? ,,,,, This I gotta see. I don't have to see him wearing it. Just seeing the name tag will be enough! I want a picture of it!
Modlguy Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 Billy, you have a permanent job as our official greeter. You're the only famous guy we have. Well, aside from Geiger, but nobody can ever find him on NNL day. We'll have a job for Vanessa too, if she wants it.
Modlguy Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 Also, I'm going to try and do some shots of the people that attend this year, and post those pictures. So I'll look for the MCM tags. And Gregg, I'd like one too. Thanks.
Jon Cole Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 I'll be there... always have been, always will be. Looking forward to meeting some of you, maybe for the first time, maybe again. I'll be the one running around like a chicken with it's head cut off... not knowing for sure where I'm headed next, but in a ###### hurry to get there!!! -Jon Cole-

Paul Payne Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 Gregg, Looks like I won't be able to get to NNL East after all. Another health issue has raised its head in the form of jaundice- I look like a bowl of saffron rice! My liver function numbers are way up and the docs haven't isolated a cause yet, except that it doesn't seem to be viral. I was really looking forward to going and bringing the Double Deuce project as a primer project, but I guess it will have to wait until next year- maybe I'll get it done by then! Well, just print a lot of pix in the mag and I'll enjoy the show from my arm chair!

John E. Bowers Jr. Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 Hi Gregg, I'm new here to this site, and newly introduced to the "live, in person" model car community. I do plan on attending the NNL as an unknown, but I look very forward to meeting everyone associated with this event. If I could get a name tag it would probably be the best trophy that I will come home with. Thanks, man John Bowers AKA "Likittysplit"
Billy Kingsley Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 I took a ride down to the show hall today...the building is HUGE outside...I know what the Tri-State guys said but I wasn't prepared for it to be THAT big. It's a little tricky to get to, but once you figure it out it'll be a breeze, and coming home was incredibly easy...If you are coming down from the NORTH, which I did, you'll end up making a few loops...Turn LEFT and go up the hill at the Cannon...The American Legion Hall has a very old looking cannon which is at the intersection you need to turn at...The local police station also has 5 War era Dodge Power Wagons lined up there too...VERY cool! Look really carefully on poles because there are PAL signs too... This is going to be the start of a whole new era...

Make sure you stop by and slap me on the head (everyone will tell you that's the only way I remember things now.....)
