On this subject,  a while back I was told Patto's Place of Australia has a lot of decals for these

types of models, but their website seems impossible to navigate. Does anyone

know how to search it and if they  have decals for Trans Am?

Pattos is a little tricky, but they have a kazillion decals.

If you're looking for decals for George Follmers 1970 Mustang, click on "M" for mustang and scroll down until you find decals for Mustangs (Mstang).

I found them under Mstang - Boss Trans Am Factory Cars

I imagine you can do simuliar searches for Camaro, Challengers, Cuda's, Dodge, etc.

I have ordered a number of decals from them, they are fast (usually under 2 weeks delivery) for being an Australian company.

Also Mike Quarterman's long since gone magazine "Motor Racing Replica News" did a number of articles on building a few Trans Am racers.

I have a pdf.file for every issue on a CD (with permission from Mike) I sell them for $15/$18 International each, shipping included.

If interested in a copy, just message me.

MRRN was/is my all time favorite modeling magazine as it was dedicated to race cars.  If you are interested in race car modeling do yourself a favor and buy this CD.

Curt, just send the endorsement fee to the same place as always. :)

Smokey did have a car.  I remember a story of him towing a Camaro from Florida to California.  Unloaded it from trailer and had the driver obliterate the field in qualifying.  Loaded back on trailer and towed it back to Florida.  The Edelbrocks race its clone,

Ever since I got my MRRN CD from Curt I've been recommending it to anyone that seemed to be interested in building Road Racers.

Do you plan on casting this body Eric?

Sorry this got lost in the fray... but no.. I'm not planing on casting it at this time.  Mainly because I have very little knowledge in the casting/resin process... just isn't a skill set I have developed yet.  We would be happy to have someone use it as a master if it turns out nice enough... but that is yet to be seen... it still looks like the photos.
