Ajay Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 I started this one as a quick build to get over modellers block but it became complicated as channelling the body over the Z'd frame threw up a whole heap of associated problems - 2 months down the line it's finally finished ! Thanks for looking. Andy
CarModDave Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 Yeah, a "quickie-build"............famous last words! I've uttered them as well on occassion. Outstanding build! I can see why you strayed from a "slump-breaker" to a 2 month project. A very cool ride indeed.
CB Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 Andy, Awesome model! Luv your choice of colors. Nice how the stock wheels look. Man, I wish we could make these things 1:1 and drive them!! Awesome picture! Really shows some Rat-titude! My fave of the bunch. My second favorite. Just waiting for some arm or something to come out the window ! Thanx for sharing. ######'n

Ajay Posted April 13, 2008 Author Posted April 13, 2008 Sweet!!! Where did the supercharger come from?? Thanks Brian It's the S.C.o.T blower from Replicas & Minatures Cheers Andy
Bernard Kron Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 I’ve been watching this one throughout the WIP. Really worth the struggle – as the build progressed it just got better and better. When that knockout flathead first showed up we all new we were in for a real treat. Too bad that gorgeous interior is buried behind those tiny windows! The P/E grille looks great. And then the payoff at the end – those terrific green scallops. Like I said – it just got better and better. Anybody who missed the WIP should really go back and check out the workbench thread... http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=9763
dub Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 Gotta agree with Bernard. I watched it the whole way too and enjoyed every twist and turn. Turned out even better than I thought it would. I certainly wouldn't mind seeing you build more hot rods; you do them so well. Thanks for sharing.
Nick F40 Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 I followed this one untill now and I still love that green/black paint. The supercharger is the sickest feature.

crispy Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 I'm not into rods and rats, but man, that thing is awesome! Great build. Perfect colors and well, the thing that got me was the supercharger. Just too cool! Chris
