Glen Powers Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 I was wondering what the consensus is on a thinner for airbrushing decanted Plastikote primer? Thanks in advance.Glen
Miatatom Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 Most paints that I decant are already thin enough to spray. When I do need to thin paint, I use the stuff you can get at WM for about $15/gallon. I'm not trying to create show quality paint jobs.
Ace-Garageguy Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 (edited) I'd go with cheap lacquer thinner. Like the man says, available at Walmart. Also Home Depot, Lowes, Ace, etc. Edited June 3, 2016 by Ace-Garageguy
Art Anderson Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 I'd go with cheap lacquer thinner. Like the man says, available at Walmart. Also Home Depot, Lowes, Ace, etc. I second that! Works for me every time I use it.
martinfan5 Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 I too use the cheap stuff thats already been posted above But, I cant use that stuff on 98% of the stuff I build( Japanese kits) its too hot , so my choice if thinner is Mr Hobby/Color thinner, both the regular and leveling thinner, good stuff .
Glen Powers Posted June 5, 2016 Author Posted June 5, 2016 No problem, plenty of that on hand. Thanks to all who responded.Glen
