Nice pic from back in the day when NASCAR cars looked like real cars. I liked watching then, but not not. The cars all look the same.

I had the opportunity to meet and talk to Marty Robbins at Daytona back in the early 70's and he was a genuinely nice guy . He was accepted by the other drivers and crews and really was one of the good ol' boys . He also had pretty decent equipment . . .  his cars were built by Petty Enterprises .

Anybody remember this ?

Always loved Marty's cars, started building a replica of his Plymouth that they featured on Americarna last year. Might finish in another 5 years or so.

El Paso

Out in the West Texas town of El Paso
I fell in love with a Mexican girl
Nighttime would find me in Rosa's cantina
Music would play and Felina would whirl

One of the greatest cowboy songs of all time penned by none other than Marty Robbins. I knew him as a musician long before I knew he drove cars. At first I thought it must be another Marty Robbins that raced ?. Now that's a talented gentleman!

I picked up a set of them a couple of years ago but don't remember the source. Love to find some 'Devil Woman' decals.

I'll get a pic here in a bit...
