935k3 Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 The first round of qualifying for Lemans is done. The last two sessions are tomorrow at 1 pm to 3pm EST and 4pm to 6pm EST. PorschePorscheToyotaToyotaAudiAudiThe Ganassi Ford GT's are 1,2,4 and 5th in the GTE class. The Corvettes are looking pretty bad this year so far.
Miatatom Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 I'm really excited and pulling for the Fords. I read "Go Like Hell" by A. J. Baime a few months back. A Christmas present from my brother. It's all about the Ford Ferrari battle of the 60s. That's really got me pumped for this years 24.
935k3 Posted June 16, 2016 Author Posted June 16, 2016 The Ferrari/Ford battle should be great. They were going back and forth the whole session.
Miatatom Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 I'm working on the Toyota GT One TS 020 as well. Had a Ford GT 40 almost done and ruined the bonnet.
unclescott58 Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 I too am pulling for the Ford GT. It's good to hear they're back at LeMans. So is this weekend the actual running of the race? And if so, who is showing it on TV?
Miatatom Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 The full TV schedule is here: http://www.racer.com/tv
935k3 Posted June 17, 2016 Author Posted June 17, 2016 Rain today, no improvement in times. Here is a link for great full color spotter's guide for the race http://www.spotterguides.com/portfolio/16lm/
JordanFordF1 Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 Is anyone doing kits of modern road racers? I'd love to build a few cars from the last couple of years of LeMans.
Rob Hall Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 Alas, stupid Fox Sports 1 isn't showing it as advertised....boring golf reruns on there now...listening to the audio stream from Radio LeMans...start was behind the safety car because of the rain..
Miatatom Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 I wonder why they even bother to buy the rights to televise it and then don't?
Rob Hall Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 I'm watching on the Fox Sports Go app with my Amazon Fire TV Stick...the streaming is working pretty well.
Junkman Posted June 19, 2016 Posted June 19, 2016 You'll see, Porkers are faster than Toyopets in the end. This must be the closest and most thrilling edition I ever saw! With merely two hours to go, we have the first two cars fewer than 30 Seconds apart. Also, make no mistake, there are still those two Aldis in striking distance, and the fat lady has yet to sing. These are going to be the best two hours of racing of EVAH.
Miatatom Posted June 19, 2016 Posted June 19, 2016 I wonder why they even bother to buy the rights to televise it and then don't?Once again, they cut away with two hours left in the race and go to FS2, which I don't have. It was supposed to be on FS1.
Muncie Posted June 19, 2016 Posted June 19, 2016 (edited) Once again, they cut away with two hours left in the race and go to FS2, which I don't have. It was supposed to be on FS1.same here - had it set on the DVR so no chance even if I could have changed over - If I watched golf, it would be like watching the first 14 holes...I Edited June 19, 2016 by Muncie
Jhedir6 Posted June 19, 2016 Posted June 19, 2016 You can download the race. There are copies up on eztv already of the first two parts I'm sure the third isnt far behind.
