Another project underway. Just wanted to get some paint on it and now I will put it aside for awhile. Not green so I have to think of another name for it. : )

Ya, I thought it would look better in a brighter color.

I think you made a great color choice. Looking forward to seeing it together. Something I have never seen...

Man this kit is a pain ! At least it is for me. I am having a lot of trouble with the pewter parts. I am using a Super type glue and it seems to take hold pretty good but when I pick it up to work on it "plink " a part falls off ! One part, the air cleaner has fallen off 3 times. Not sure what the heck I am doing wrong but I will manage to get it together one way or another. Three steps forward and two steps back. : )

I feel your pain-you just described to a "T" my experience with the Testors 'Cuda (reboxed Johan+pewter parts) over 10yrs ago. I gave up on it and threw it in the trash.

You are a better man than I for keeping up with this build! Still would love to see it finished tho.

Hang in there!

Bob, I just opened the glue I am using but have no idea how long it may have been in stock. I kind of pushed it to the side to regain my composure but will try and finish it this week.

I looked at a site for the gaming figures and a common problem is parts not staying together. It seems you need to use as little as possible.  Another question have you been using accelerator on it.

Yes on the accelerator. Is that a no no ? Do the parts fall of faster ?? : )

Are you polishing the pewter parts? I had one of these years ago and filed/sanded the air cleaner into a teardrop shape, then it polished up like chrome. Maybe drill a hole in the mating surface of both parts and jam a piece of plastic rod in there to help hold it in place.

Ray, get you a bottle of Loctite 495 super glue of ebay. I is the best i have used. Some super glues build up on parts and re-gluing just makes it worse. 495 is industrial strength and been using it for a long time...

I was finally able to get this thing to stay together. : ) It was a chore. Built straight from the box. I had a tough time with the pewter parts but it's done.
