Went to surgeon today, more of a checkup and see if any screws are loose.

This is a scan of the x-ray

Kinda cool!

Okay?

That's relative, I guess.

The screws are okay

The fusion is solid

so the frame is good, so to speak

That's been my biggest problem

My alignment was off, and with the cage and fusion, at least I know that they are solid

So, it's back to more aggressive PT, weight training, and supplements.

I'm at my ideal weight, just need to transfer the front bumper to the top side :-)

It's weird looking inside of yourself

I look at Dwayne from Arrowhead's images and I count, rub the stomach of, and talk to Mr. Buddah all the time, he's in worse shape then me, times ten.

He has always been my bud to talk to about this situation, and seeing what he has been going through makes me just want to shut up and quit complaining.

So, at Toledo, watch out for Mr. Arnold, I will be bigger, better, and bolder (I mean balder) than ever!!!!

It's time to get the tables turned, in more ways than one.

When I had my herniated disc neck problems I read what the surgery consisted of after they was done. It read installed 4 14mm screws. I thought to myself "14mm ###### ". I was thinking in tool terms till I saw an xray of what they did. The screws are 14mm long and hold a dog bone shaped plate in my neck where the disc use to be. When I first saw the xray, it was kind of scary.

Gregg, that is pretty rough man! I have a bad back and i could roll an ankle by stepping on a cigarette butt.....but i am luck to not have any screws in me and never broke a bone. I wish you luck and hope it is all done and healed for you soon.

:P Gregg, I've got 4 stainless steel screws in my left knee that always set off the handheld detector wands at Metro airport,But when I pull up my pantleg they see a 10 in. scar and let me pass.Do you set off the detectors too?

Gregg,

You've got to stop playing around with power tools. That's how accidents happen.:P

That's good news to hear about your back being in good shape.

Gregg,

Glad to here that you are progressing nicely.

I fractured L-4 and L-5 in a car wreck when I was 16. Now 75 and have had back problems for the last 20 years. Diagnosed as Spinal Stenosis. Heard so many bad things about back fusion that I avoided it. Happened on an outfit in Florida named Laser Spine Surgery. They claim a 85% success rate and out patient care. I actually watched the surgery on closed circuit TV. Talk about looking inside your self. Surgery was $12k out of pocket. That with air fare, lodging, etc.. put the price at about $16k. Guess what? I fell into the 15% unsuccessful group. :)

Anyhow, congratulations on your progress.
