SamBred Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 Finally able to get this car unboxed and on the bench. I'm ready to start building. Beginner status. This car is my second build ever, first of this year. Plans for this car is do a simple, neat box build. Maybe as a little paint detail, maybe order some plug wires and battery wires. Gonna take it slow. I work a lot so I know it will go slow but I'll keep you all posted!
Jantrix Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 Nice choice. The Revell '67 is one of the best kits ever. Be advised though, you cannot achieve the ride height shown in the cover art, using the kit parts. It is stock ride height with fancy wheels.
SamBred Posted August 5, 2016 Author Posted August 5, 2016 Thanks, yeah it's got a picture on back of box of what it is gonna look like. I probably will do my own colors and stuff too.
tbill Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 that's a nice kit that builds up well. only tricky part for me was dash detail and trying to BMF the trim on top of the fenders/doors/quarter panels. other than that, fun build.
Roadrunner Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 I have to ask; can this kit be built stock? If so, I'll need to add it to my growing "wants" list.

Since this is only your second build I've got to say you're makin' me nervous showing the body on the paint stand already – don't paint that thing before you do some prep and plenty of test-fitting. "Just sayin'."
SamBred Posted August 5, 2016 Author Posted August 5, 2016 Yeah John no paint yet haha...I was just displaying it.
dodgefever Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 Let us know how you get on with fitting the dash top to the main dashboard part.

Mopar - D Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 Sam welcome to the site and for sharing your 2nd build. Don't be afraid to ask question here. Good luck on your build and looking forward to see your progress.
GrumpyGrowly Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 I have to ask; can this kit be built stock? I, like others found the dash to be tricky but not impossible. This kit is prefect for the addition of plug and bat wires, add a lot to this already awesome kit.Jonathan
Roadrunner Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 OK, thanks, Jonathan, I appreciate that info very much.
Xingu Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 I have to ask; can this kit be built stock? If so, I'll need to add it to my growing "wants" list.Yes it can. I am building mine to match my 1:1, except for the Hemi.
Roadrunner Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 Yes it can. I am building mine to match my 1:1, except for the Hemi.Cool. I'll check it out, assuming you have a WIP here.
