vintagedragcrazy Posted November 12, 2016 Posted November 12, 2016 Thank you for your service to all the veterans out there!vince
slusher Posted November 12, 2016 Posted November 12, 2016 Thanks to all veterans for your service. I got behind a WWII veteran today with his hat on and was thinking he had to be in his 90's..
cobraman Posted November 12, 2016 Posted November 12, 2016 I went out to a parade in Surprise Arizona today because my BIL was marching in it. He is a Marine vet. I was shocked at the amount of people that came out on a Friday morning to watch. It was a very nice parade and it was nice to see all the well dressed and looking sharp veterans.
HomerS Posted November 12, 2016 Posted November 12, 2016 My father was deployed to Germany during the construction of the Berlin Wall (but the VA doesn't consider that a hostile deployment). He moved into a nursing home about a year and a half ago due to his dementia. He doesn't qualify for assistance as he enlisted too late qualify under Korea (he hadn't graduated high school yet) and after 7.5 years, he got out and started a family (a few months too early to qualify under Vietnam).Thank you Dad and all the other vets out there who never got their due!
