Superpeterbilt Posted November 13, 2016 Posted November 13, 2016 My display are was getting kind of dirty, so I pulled most of my models down and cleaned them, and then cleaned the shelves. It was nice to have them all layed out, so I figured Id share some pics.

Tesla Posted November 14, 2016 Posted November 14, 2016 Great opportunity for pictures Terry! A most impressive fleet, but I'm partial to the Brockway Cleaning off the builds is on my list for this week.
tbill Posted November 14, 2016 Posted November 14, 2016 Terry, great looking collection you have there, but, i think a truck stop diorama should be next on the list of things to build
JTalmage Posted November 14, 2016 Posted November 14, 2016 I'm not a truck guy, but I came here to this thread for some reason... then I saw those guitars... that must be why! great looking stuff. I can't play for anything, but I really love guitars. I have a few myself. I also have an aluminum stand-up bass, currently stripping the paint so I can polish it.
Superpeterbilt Posted November 16, 2016 Author Posted November 16, 2016 Thanks for all the kinds words guys. The trucks are all back on there shelves now. One day I hope to have a space as big as my shop just to display everything. And Tom, it will definitely have a truck stop diorama. And since a few asked about the guitars

Thats a coat of black stain, then go back over it with some fine paper to take the stain off where it doesnt absorb, then go over that with some clear poly. The rest is safety red as usual!

Hey, thanks for the tip.....That's what I was liking in particular.....May have to give that a try....I'm always building something....Looks like I'll be back in that back yard, this weekend......
Dieselhead Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 I really like the look of the red Brockway to the left of the Mack rock truck. Makes me think of the Autocar scrap hauler from Maximum Overdrive. What's the tractor to the fire dozer setup? It isn't visible in any of the pictures.

Entirely scratchbuilt. The winch is from AITM, and I resin cast the cab and the tires. The frame rails and spoke wheels are from an Autocar kit. The red Brockway was a reject cab, so I went the weathered and rusted route. That one was a kit bash junk box build. Mack frame, hendrickson susp, GMC astro spokes, etc.
Pete68 Posted November 17, 2016 Posted November 17, 2016 TerryVery nice collection! I don't know which one I like the best, I guess I will say I like them all thanks for sharing this. Looks like model heaven all those vintage boxes and the built trucks you have something to be proud of. Maybe some day I will get my fleet built back up like I once had it 25yrs ago. I'm glad I got back in this scale guys like you bring back that old model fever I used to have when I built these years ago thanks for sharing

Superpeterbilt Posted November 23, 2016 Author Posted November 23, 2016 ive always been a heavy haul/weathered kind of guy and i have to ask if you might have the specs on that red lowboy and dolly just around somewhere would yaI really didnt use any specs when I built it. I just winged it. I used landing gears from the Italeri dump trailer, and the rear suspension from the White Freightliner coe on the dolly, and two sets of AMT lowboy suspensions on the beam trailer. Its not based on anything real, I was just going for a look I saw in my head. I can take a few measurements from it if youd like.
