I've built one now and have one on stock, but would love to have another one as well,

Since the last issue was 2009, would there be a chance they reissue it again in the near future? I can not imagine they won't reissue it again, making all the new tools for it and looking at the pricing of the 2009 issues going upwards.

I think it is a bit soon for a re-issue. I suspect that the secondary market still has plenty on offer.  But, I could be entirely mistaken. Revell has been releasing old T.D. kits at a rate of 2/3 a year, so the R.R. might be up on the list sooner rather than later. Either way, I'm not too sure how much pent up demand there may be (or not be) for this kit.

I missed out on the last go around so I'd be in for one.

The one I'd like to get is the "Horn Toad" from the late '60s. It was reissued once in the late '70s but even those go for ridiculous bucks.

That is also find it difficult to really make an opinion about it, I guess it is anybody's guess. We'll just wait it out.

I am sure Revell will release it again sometime soon and no doubt in some new fancy package to make you want to buy it again. As for the Horn Toad or Dog Catcher, I would love to see them along with a few others that have not been seen since the 70's!

And judging on sales on the new tool/reissue release, I think they might have made their money back on the tooling. So, why not sell them again just to make some gravy.

Unfortunately both the Horn Toad and Dog Catcher were permanently changed at some point in the 70's to the Rattler and Sand Shark respectively. The Sand Shark was reissued a long time ago during Monogram's first series of SSP issues. Since they were willing to spend the time and money on retooling some of the other TD's kits perhaps they will think about returning these back to their original (better) design at some point too.

I'm still waiting for them to reissue the Mean Maverick and Poison Pinto.

The Mean Maverick and Super Digger were released once in 1970, and never seen since. Factor in the Great Monogram Purge of 1980, and, well, I suspect both are gone for good. Even if they do still exist, I would be shocked to see Revell choose to invest their money on either of these two.

I think the Poison Pinto (and Sand Crab) would be excellent candidates for backdating, but the Pinto Street Machine was also reissued as part of the SSP a decade plus ago, so not sure how eager Revell would be to investing in it.

Yes, there's one on eBay right now with a BIN price of $26.99. That said, there's no question both this kit and the Tijuana Taxi will be in the perpetual Tom Daniel kit reissue cycle. It might take a few more years to see it, but Revell didn't recreate both of these to not make money off of them.

I supplies my mint Dragon Wagon to Bill Lastivich so the kit could be retooled in China.  After that project I was asked if I had a number of other Tom Daniel kits I would be willing to send to them. I agreed but I never heard from them again. Not real long after that Bill passed away. I don't think there has been a TD kit retooled since then.

Dog Catcher was one project that was started but never came to market. It makes me think Revell was not happy with the ROI these kits provided. I'd buy a Rattler, Sand Shark or any of the TD modified kits. We didn't need another Cop Out but it must sell or we'd not get it ever 3 years!!

Revell....please take a chance with Rattler.......Trick T or other TD kit not seen in 20 plus years.
