NHRA drag racing

I was watching the NHRA drags from Pomona, CA last night and noticed "TOYOTA" all over the top fuel and funny car machines.  There were Camry stickers on the windshields of a few funny cars.  Is Toyota taking over drag racing?

Been that way for several years now. One of many reasons I've quit watching and caring about it.

The only drag racing I watch is nostalgia drag races as drag racing was a lot of fun back in the mid-60's to early 70's. Even the "big name" drag racers didn't have "cookie cutter" cars like they have today. And no Asian cars were on the tracks either back then.

Back then you could tell what kind of cars were racing Dodge ,Chevy ,Ford etc.

That is the only annoying thing on NHRA Drag Racing! Or if all of those ricers were left out of the ladder, no problem, but unfortunately some of those are actually pretty fast. Well of course it's only the body that is wrong, but to be honest, I hate all of those modern European and Japanese cars...

Well, luckily Line and Anderson did great job on Pro Stock!

Did ya guys notice that Fox is now showing the NHRA Pro Mods? You still got some variety there. 3 different types of boost and and many body styles. Fun to watch too. Closest thing we have to altereds in modern times.

Can't see Fox in here, but Pro Mods have always been my favorites (After Stock and Super Stock of course). Good looking cars with different engine setups and short wheelbase = Lots of fun!

Like joe said you can put anything on the body but, it's still a HEMI.The body doesn't generate the power -lol !!!

Yep Nick...there you go....those were the days of drag racing to me too....loved those old school cars.

Well it's not only in the NHRA,but in NASCAR,as we'll..To me,it's just the stupid sponsorship decals.I mean we all know there ain't no Toyota engines in any of those cars.
