Sixties Sam Posted December 21, 2016 Posted December 21, 2016 Hey, all. Here are my 16 for '16, gathered at the ice cream stand diorama for photos. The campers are scratch built. The 41 Ford wrecker is a resin cab on scratch built frame, bed, and boom. The Model T truck has a scratch built body. The Cobra is a rebuild of one I built in the 1960's. Jaguar is a metal body. Fun builds - all of them. Sam
Ramfins59 Posted December 21, 2016 Posted December 21, 2016 That's a great group of builds for the year Sam. I wish I was that productive this year.
JerseyRed Posted December 21, 2016 Posted December 21, 2016 Looks like a fun time at The Frosty Cup! I'm really digging the Ford wrecker. Wouldn't mind seeing some more pics of that. Campground dio should be cool too.
Xingu Posted December 21, 2016 Posted December 21, 2016 Nice group of models and an excellent way to show them off.
maltsr Posted December 21, 2016 Posted December 21, 2016 Nice group of models and an excellent way to show them off.My thoughts exactly - nice work, Sam.

bbowser Posted December 21, 2016 Posted December 21, 2016 Great group of builds and a cool dio backdrop. Well done!
StevenGuthmiller Posted December 21, 2016 Posted December 21, 2016 Makes me feel a little "inadequate" when I see how productive some of us were last year! Nice bunch Sam. Steve
donb Posted December 22, 2016 Posted December 22, 2016 Great group shot at the Ice Cream Shop. That woody caught my eye though.
espo Posted December 22, 2016 Posted December 22, 2016 Beautiful builds. I really like the '59 El Camino, but the Merc. woody is very nice.

slusher Posted December 22, 2016 Posted December 22, 2016 Great stable of builds Sam, love the Merc and trailer..
Intmd8r Posted December 22, 2016 Posted December 22, 2016 A lot of great eye candy there!Creative way of displaying your builds this year too.
JerseyRed Posted December 22, 2016 Posted December 22, 2016 Kevin here is a link to my post on the wrecker. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/111043-scratch-built-1941-ford-coe-wrecker-finished/SamThanks! Yes, I'm decided, I definitely love it. I'm guessing you didn't do a WIP on it, I would have really loved to have seen your build in progress. I plan on doing a '66 Chevy wrecker as a replica of the one we had used at our family's auto body shop. I drove it for 15 years, and it was a workhorse into the late '90s. I'll have to scratch build a large part of it for what I have planned I think. The problem is it might be a little beyond my skill level at this point. I guess if I don't try I'll never know so we'll see.
Sixties Sam Posted December 22, 2016 Author Posted December 22, 2016 Here's a link to the "on the workbench" post, Kevin. It was a pretty simple build, although the boom took some effort!
Fanof69 Posted December 23, 2016 Posted December 23, 2016 That's quite a haul of builds for the year Sam, especially considering all the scratch building!! Oh and they all look great.Really like the campers!!
