Lunajammer Posted June 1, 2017 Posted June 1, 2017 That Olds is getting to look scary tough Jeremy, keep 'er going.
matthijsgrit Posted June 2, 2017 Posted June 2, 2017 @KWT: are you using Clearly Scale parts for this? How are they to work with?
KWT Posted June 2, 2017 Posted June 2, 2017 Yep, sure am. They are very nicely done pieces. I will and have ordered again.
MeatMan Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 For my WB Camaro I decided against the plain cowl induction hood and decided to trim it down a bit and add a ZL-1 scoop. I thought I had it fitted perfectly but it seems to keep trying to go back to the last shape it had. This may be the best I get. Magnets may be my next choice! I also assembled the engine block and painted it today. Moving right along!
KWT Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 Think I like the look of that scoop better. Definitely coming together nicely.
KWT Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 Got my seats painted and installed today.. another Clearly Scale item...decided to add a small roll bar. So I stole one out of an old chevelle kit. It's not tall, but by the time it's in the car, thats about all the room I have. The interior is probably 98% done... may be done completely... I say this, cuz if you notice the hole in the back of the console. I drilled that hole just incase I decided to add a NOS package of some sort. Still on the fence about that though.... Stay tuned...
KWT Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 Got the tires fixed again... I think I like them better this time, than last. Mocked it up one more time for a final look... best I can tell eyeballing it, this is how she's gonna stand Not as low as I first thought about dropping it, but just enough in my opinion... time to work on fine tuning some details. And fill this empty void... stay tuned...
426 pack Posted June 10, 2017 Posted June 10, 2017 My June update is more of a setback as I screwed up the paint on my 77 Monaco. I will probably be entering a second car or truck as a backup if that is ok. I should have my backup decided this next weak if I can't fix my paint on the Monaco.
426 pack Posted June 10, 2017 Posted June 10, 2017 (edited) Just found this it is a brand new kit and I will enter it instead of the Monaco. I will still have the Monaco as my backup kit if that is ok. Edited June 10, 2017 by 426 pack
KWT Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 Probably one last update for the weekend... Got the engine assembled this morning... Time to start getting the car together... Stay tuned..

I'll be trying to get that far today on my Camaro as well.
MeatMan Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 I finally got the V-12 built and I think it turned out pretty well, except for some minor touching up. I fabricated the coil covers because I just don't like seeing those coils on top. I'm thinking about covering them with a carbon fiber decal but there are a lot of places where they might not conform to. I'll be finishing up what little smoothing I have to do on the body and then I'll apply some sealer to keep the red from showing through hopefully. I added some magnets to hopefully help the hood stay in place. Next pics will hopefully show some color!!

KWT Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 Since I'm trying to get my yard in some kind of shape, there's not a lot of modeling going on this weekend. I did however get the engine, wheels, and chassis married together... Getting close to the finishing stages of this one.. stay tuned...
Intmd8r Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 Jeremy-that chassis is looking sick!keep up the great work
KWT Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 Thanks, Steve! Got the windows installed this morning and doing one final mock up before I start final assembly... Guess that's all she wrote for this week... stay tuned...
Jaguar man 21 Posted June 22, 2017 Posted June 22, 2017 I'd like to join the fun with this. I'm going to have another kit coming next week that will donate its engine and some other goodies as well .

64SS350 Posted June 25, 2017 Posted June 25, 2017 Very little time at bench, piddling here and there. Body primed and making new dash for Bumblebee.
TFchronos Posted June 25, 2017 Posted June 25, 2017 Nice work and progress guys! I seem to get mine entered and started later and later each year haha. Speaking of, here's my entry this year a '76 AM Gremlin. It's breaking from my usual Mopar build but it will have a Slant-6 so I'm still slipping Mopar in it. Plans are very custom I'm going to try and have some fun with this and give it rat rod treatment. Which means narrowing the body and removing the front fenders. Paint will either be rusted and weathered or a attempt at Bare Metal. If the body ends up taking more of a wild Hot Wheels look I may go with a nice glossy paint job too.
