I was seeing mostly classics and then BOOM the Mclaren. Caught me off guard! :) However they are all extremely well done. A really good year in anybody's book.

Great looking builds. Got to love the Hudson and the unusual tutone '57 Ford wagon.

I may have only noticed because I just did one, but the Ford is actually a tri-tone. There's a swipe of yellow/beige between the moldings. A very nice touch!

I'd point out the colors on the Delage also but that might take away from your other color selections.

Very cool ? start to finish.

The swip you are thinking of was a thin aluminum sheet that had a gold anodized finish on the 1:1 car. The kits decal sheet provides a decal but it isn't very accurate. Bruce did a great job in replicating the OEM look and it might be nice if he could share with use how he did that. I have tried Gold Bare-Metal foil, but it is on the thick side. I have also foiled the area and then painted it with Tamiya clear orange paint and got close.

Very interesting, thanks for filling me in. On the gasser version I just built the decal provided was black. I didn't care for it either and painted it purple in an effort to mimic the color of the stripes I used.

Thanks to everyone for all the kind comments.  It means a lot coming from the group of builders on here.  I painted the "swipe" with Model Master Brass rather sloppily, then foiled the trim for clean separations.
