PatW Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 From the WIP now built and finished with camper shell, long cushion, extra seats and home brewed decals..... Open sesame.......
Tom Geiger Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 Cool build! I always enjoy seeing Deora variations
espo Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 looks great. This is the first Deora build that I have seen in a long time. Surfs Up !!
PatW Posted January 12, 2017 Author Posted January 12, 2017 (edited) Thanks guys, yes I like to generate my own decals for the finish I'm after. As I like quirky, my next build is the Surf Woody..... Those rear tyres will have to go, no good in sand! Edited January 12, 2017 by PatW
donb Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 looks great. This is the first Deora build that I have seen in a long time. Surfs Up !!thinking the same! Nice job!
Dann Tier Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 Turned out great!!! -when I build mine, i'm either gonna have to glue the windscreen down, or make it out of aluminum -mine is warped beyond saving. I cant wait to see the Surf Wagon!, I've never seen one before. Cant wait to see what your imagination comes up with!
PatW Posted January 14, 2017 Author Posted January 14, 2017 (edited) Thanks Dann for your comments, I'd certainly like to see your Deora get underway. Now I'm torn between building the Surf Woody, with a few mods or re-model it on the lines of the Hawk Wild Woodie, a kit that seems to be totally unavailable! Now that really looks super groovy! With just a bit of work on the top should get the same or similar results! Edited January 14, 2017 by PatW

Mine will be built as a transporter for my BMC Mini Cooper.
PatW Posted January 14, 2017 Author Posted January 14, 2017 I look forward to seeing that Dann, we had two Mini's my late brothers 1963 Mi8ni Van straight from the factory in Oxford about 20 miles away (saved the delivery fee) and my Mum's (passed her test at 64) and hers was a 1968 mini countryman with the exterior wood trim. Like this one............. Both had 850cc engines.
