curt raitz Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 Just completed the last '57 Corvette for the NNL West. It's the AMT R2 1015-2 re-issue. Beautiful kit and builds into a nice factory stock version of the '57 Corvette. My only complaint is it doesn't have the hing for the hood. I could have fabricated one, but decided to build the model "Straight Out of the Box". Paint is Tamiya PS-14 Copper and Tamiya TS-7 Racing White covered with Model Master Ultra Gloss Clear. Here's a photo of the four '57 Corvette's which will be "parked" on the Theme Table at the NNL West.
Lovefordgalaxie Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 I like it.Refreshing to see more and more factory stock.I'm no Chevy guy, but I guess the side chrome trim should continue all around the front wheel opening on the body.

JerseyRed Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 Very cool ? Fits nicely into that impressive lineup.
espo Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 Beautiful build. I'll have to look into that kit.
Xingu Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 Nice and clean, just the way they should be. Well done Curt.
peekay Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 Very nice - and of course I like the stock one best. 1957 was a great year for american cars.
bbowser Posted January 14, 2017 Posted January 14, 2017 That's a beauty! I have one of these on the bench right now, hope it comes out 1/2 as nice.
