Thanks Gary.  Sorry I don't know if the kit trailer is based on an actual design.  Fabricated a license plate bracket and used some brass rod to simulate mounting bolts.  I'll need to trim then down a bit during final assembly.

Great project JC !!!    I'm with Tom,  the extra details you are adding really make this special.

Always a big fan of your work.

NICE Work JC!!!! That trailer looked GREAT from the second pic you posted of it!

I too, have a trailer like this one.... BUT who ever it was that attempted to "assemble" it, took that center drop section, and glued it to one side of the trailer, (off-centering it) and now I will have to cut it loose and re-make the pivots, and I'll probably do a little of what you done to this one as well. I like the whole "front" toy did on yours here! Plus the one I have I think the suspension is MIA too, or partly broken up! (I haven't looked at it in a while to remember), but because of your posting on your build here brought back to the surface in my head, and I'm trying to recall whats wrong with mine going from yours as yours is in WAY BETTEr shape then how I got mine!

Thanks John.  You could use just the center section like I did here if the the rest of the trailer is too far gone.

-Now theres an idea! BUT I'm not sure on that yet, as I'm not sure how I wanna go about it as I have to think what I plan to "load" onto it.... The trailer will probably be made to order..... NOW with that, I have broken up parts and pieces of other trailers THOSE could be used to make the trailer like the one you suggested.... I have several trailers collected up, and only one of them, is "new" the rest were glue bombs..... SOME only have certain useable parts the rest of the trailer is junk, quite literally!

Then you got me building that 10 foot Utility trailer too. that one almost 100% scratchbuilt!

I've never seen a WIP on a car trailer before but I can definitely say that this one is certainly deserving of it JC. You know you're gonna have to do a WIP on the vehicle that's gonna tow it.................just sayin.................;)

This things is just about wrapped up. I still need to do some detailing on the wheels but I'll show that in "Under Glass" when I get it done.

Oh, this looks GOOD.....I really like the color choice....For some reason, it really pops, so to speak....Not sure why, but I really like it....Very nice touch with the tool box and tanks....This thing just looks good, Man....

About the Colour.

So many of the real trailers I've seen are black. That makes yours look all the more real. A correct choice, IMHO. Great Job.

JC,

After seeing your work on this trailer it made me wanna dig mine out and have a look to get a "feel" of just what that model is all about. and I have to say, I LIKE it, BUT, I can see where I'm gonna have a bit of trouble, not in the model itself, (its really good) BUT in the way I plan to use mine! (larger car) so my trailer looks quite small for a car that I plan to load mine with, (Mopar B Body) so.... I'm going to enlarge the fenders, on the "outer frame".... and then that will lengthen the out side appearance, to keep the "tread" part of the "inner frame" the same stock length, as the car I plan to use will fit on the treat-ways, fine, but over hang in the front quite a bit (in stock form) I could not add a tool box, or a tongue shelf to carry much of anything as-is, so, making the fenders larger, and possibly adding a SECOND axle within the new fenders I think will give mine a little better balancing look, if you will. I believe the second axle would be best, after the location of the factory single axle to keep the back of the trailer box stock distance from one axle to the back of the trailer. (If that makes sense) as then that will move the front of the car away from the tongue a bit but keep the even looks over the axles!

Because the car(s) I'll be loading onto the trailer are bigger I think the second axle is a must, as that will help "add" to the length as well as give me more length (space) up front....

Thanks JT.

Alan I wanted to paint the trailer a different color but I think black is the most appropriate.

Look forward to seeing your project John.

Thanks JC! I've taken mine out and got a "feel" for what I'll have to do as I mentioned on mine, I'm going to "shift" the tread-ways back, to the rear, make the fenders larger (Keeping the stock fenders "whole" but removing them for another trailer), and then making my own custom fitted fenders as I plan to add a 2nd axle to lengthen it, but keep the outward treads "stock" kit length. Which in the real world 1:1 trailers, would up my hauling capacity, and with that, I also plan to use slight bigger tires and a little "fatter" too..... -Just for the added "beef" to make the trailer look more heavy.

I also plan to make a full frame too, completely scratchbuilt! And have real looking leaf springs with some sort of shocks too!!
