Codi Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 Another great choice for a build John. STILL amazed at the speed & quality of your work. btw, that Trike is something else altogether. Congrats on that build too. cheers
John Teresi Posted February 10, 2017 Author Posted February 10, 2017 Hello.......thank you all so very much for the kind comments.......I really do appreciate them.......I could`nt find a toothbrush bristle cover that Pete used for the radiator /nose cover,so I used 2 Revell 1/12 Chopper gas tanks that I had in my parts box,it worked out pretty good.......I also got the engine assembled and wired......no dis-respect to Pete but,I also used over sized plug wires too, because the Clone program wants a Clone as close as possible to the original model.......so hopefully I will do the model justice .......I also got the frame assembled and mocked-up the wheels.......I dug out a T`bird dash board from my parts box to resemble the one on the original model......I had to modify it to fit.......I also mocked-up the nerf`s on the front and back.......thanks for looking
John Teresi Posted February 10, 2017 Author Posted February 10, 2017 And a few more........thanks.....
Mooneyzs Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 John... You sure are scooting along on this project. Looks like you are done with the Rolling chassis and the engine. This thing is really taking shape. You should have it done next week?? . Keep up your usual Awesome work!
Art Laski Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 Man, moving right along! It must be hard internally to do things the way he did it originally when you know you can do it better, but I know you are going to make a great replica.

Art......thanks man......Ya,No dis-respect to Pete.......back in the day they were great modelers using what they could.......it`s really hard not to be able to use what I would now days but, thats the beauty of making this Clone....... to build the way they did back in the day Edited February 10, 2017 by John Teresi
John Teresi Posted February 10, 2017 Author Posted February 10, 2017 Hello.......thank you all so very much for the kind comments......I really do appreciated them.....I mocked-up the engine.......and dug out some muffler ends from my parts box and modified them to resemble the ones on the original model.......I also hinged the doors....... and just for "Shits and Giggles" I made a test door panel with the initials PP......I used white Naugahyde and cut out the PP and used a red velvet backing like the way Pete made for his original model.......thanks for looking.
Mooneyzs Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 Nice work Brother! The hinging on the doors look great!! You are moving along on this build. Nice Mock-up of the Door Panels. Great Job man!!
Randy D Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 Always look forward to your projects buddy!!!! Beautiful work Randy
Impalow Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 oh man.... another John Teresi Clone build... I love these... It has to be a challenge recreating these as close to original as possible. Great work!
John Teresi Posted February 24, 2017 Author Posted February 24, 2017 Hello.......thank you all so very much for the kind comments.......I really do appreciate them....... I did some work on the interior.......I used some White Naugahyde to upolster the seats and airbrushed the Naugahyde light green......then I flocked the rest of the seat with white Flocking.......then I used white Chenille around the edges of the seat, just like Pete did......I also made some seat belts using the kit buckles and used medical bandage tape for the belt and flocked those in white flocking too......I also flocked the floor board and fire wall with red flocking........and attached the shifter, emergency brake handle and clutch and brake pedals.......thanks for looking
Mooneyzs Posted February 24, 2017 Posted February 24, 2017 John... It's looking great man!! You have always been crafty when it comes to using many different materials. I am enjoying what you have done here and its turning out Killer. Nice work my friend!!
Mr Dedo Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 Thanks for the inspiration. The AMT/Lindberg '34 truck has so many possibilities!
John Teresi Posted February 26, 2017 Author Posted February 26, 2017 (edited) Hello.......Danno,Chris,Dave,Jeff......thanks guys for the kind comments......I really do appreciate them......I didn`t want to spend another $50.00 for a pre-wired light set up that I put on my "Iron Lung".......so I went and bought some stuff to make my own lights......I had to put lights into this build because the original one had working lights......so everything cost me $15.00 dollars to do it......and I would have only had to spend $5.00 for the hole set up but,I had to buy a soldering iron.......the set-up has two 3 volt batteries with cases ,2 white and 2 red wheat bulbs and a on and off push button switch .......this was my first time soldering ......I think I did a an OK job.......next time I think it will even be better.......thanks for looking.
