gasser59 Posted March 24, 2017 Posted March 24, 2017 (edited) If you live in Arizona, California, New Mexico, Nevada, Colorado, Texas or anywhere else for that matter, you will not want to miss DSC this year. All are welcome. A new venue with more space to spread out and also a cleaner facility. Check out the webpage at: desertscaleclassic.com. See you there. Edited April 9, 2017 by gasser59
gasser59 Posted March 27, 2017 Author Posted March 27, 2017 So who's all coming to this event? I know I'll be there. Mooneyez, Danno, Art Laski, Curt Raitz, and a few others I know about from the forum here. Who else?
Tom Geiger Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 Good luck with the new digs guys! I will be there in spirit!
Misha Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 Wishing all well as I'll be unable to be there. Last year was such a great time and a chance to meet so many of you. Joining you in spirit and wishing great success!Misha 'the Canuck from the Cowichan'??
gasser59 Posted March 28, 2017 Author Posted March 28, 2017 Sorry you're not going to make it Misha. I'm looking forward to the new digs. I'll post some pictures to this thread of the event.
Russell C Posted March 28, 2017 Posted March 28, 2017 Me, but once again regrettably only long enough to rummage through the swap meet, and to look through the contest models, then I'm off to my obligatory weekend caretaking of my elderly mother at her house on the other end of the valley.
gasser59 Posted March 28, 2017 Author Posted March 28, 2017 (edited) Russell - if you see me, introduce yourself. Always a pleasure to meet up with other Valley model builders. I'll have my Model Car Magazine badge on. Edited March 28, 2017 by gasser59
Russell C Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 Russell - if you see me, introduce yourself. .......Will do. I created a MCM badge fro myself last time, graphic artist that I am. It looks just like my avatar & name layout here, vertically orientated.

Russell C Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 ... then I'm off to my obligatory weekend caretaking of my elderly mother at her house on the other end of the valley.Well, scratch that, on my limited attendance time. First one I'll have to miss altogether, but regrettably my mom fell and banged herself up enough to require 24hr pro homecare this past week and has me filling in this weekend. Long story short, she's already improving in mobility and should make a full recovery in a couple of weeks, such as that is for a person over 90 years old. Ah, well. See some of you in Salt Lake at the end of the month.
gasser59 Posted April 9, 2017 Author Posted April 9, 2017 Sorry you weren't able to attend Russell, you missed a great show. Here's a few pictures from DSC XIII. http://i437.photobucket.com/albums/qq96/flyfshr/DSC%20-%2013/IMG_3209sm_zpsgqetbwhv.jpg[/iomg] More to follow.
gasser59 Posted April 9, 2017 Author Posted April 9, 2017 As you can see, there were alot of great models on the tables. Congrats to all of the show winners. Well deserved.
Danno Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 Great pix, Brad. Congrats on your Willys' win!It was a GREAT time in the new digs ~ a few little glitches as we got settled in, but overall a fantastic event!
Modelbuilder Mark Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 I did not make it before the doors closed for judging. Too bad, looks like I missed some nice models., What was the turn out/number of entries? I liked the new facility. It should serve you well as time goes by.
gasser59 Posted April 18, 2017 Author Posted April 18, 2017 (edited) You bet. That was a really enjoyable day. Edited April 18, 2017 by gasser59
gasser59 Posted April 19, 2017 Author Posted April 19, 2017 There will be a slide show of the winners on the desertscaleclassic.com website soon. I can't say when for sure.
