afx Posted April 17, 2017 Posted April 17, 2017 Norm displayed this great new trailer kit at our most recent club meeting.
espo Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 Very interesting looking trailer. This looks as if it would be a perfect base for a Tear Drop camping trailer. The only thing that seems strange is the axle is mounted in such a way that there would be a lot of weight on the tong of the trailer. That would depend on how you build it and where the center of gravity is.

vintagercr Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 I agree that it is cool looking, but think the axle needs to be moved forward more, it if is going to be a utility trailer.
oldcarfan Posted April 22, 2017 Posted April 22, 2017 It looks like it's set up for building a tear drop trailer. Either way, it's cool!
1930fordpickup Posted April 22, 2017 Posted April 22, 2017 (edited) That is the trailer from the 41 ford woodie. that is what AMT gave us. No top of any kind. When it first came out someone made a surfboard hauler with it. I am not knocking this as Norm's stuff is always nice. Edited April 22, 2017 by 1930fordpickup
afx Posted April 22, 2017 Author Posted April 22, 2017 (edited) Norm mentioned that the trailer and the tool box is all you receive in the '41 Woody kit, he added all the remaining bits (wheel/tires, brakes, suspension, tail lights, 5th wheel etc.) so the trailer can actually be built. misterNNL Posted April 22, 2017 Posted April 22, 2017 Looks like a great starting point for any number of interesting projects.Norm has some really cool stuff not to mention extremely good quality castings.

I have the older stock and custom-only versions of that kit and couldn't find a trailer in either. Both kits do have a surfboard. I read several online listings for the latest re-issue and none of them mention a trailer. Thanks for any help.
1930fordpickup Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 Not sure if they were in all of the boxes as one I have had it and the other did not. Same box art kit. I think it came in the custom only woodie kit.
