dragmodels44 Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 IVE BEEN ON THE 70s pro stock kick. Just wanted to get the bodies done. I figure once the bodies are done I can always go back and finish it anytime. I finally found the AG dragster, unbuilt. Did that one too. The black Cuda will be the Motown missile and the cougar is Fast Eddie Schartmans. Just waiting for the decals.
dragmodels44 Posted May 12, 2017 Author Posted May 12, 2017 Thanks! Been collecting resin parts, just trying to decide how far to go with detailing
dragmodels44 Posted May 12, 2017 Author Posted May 12, 2017 Thanks! Just did it this morning. TS 14 black then I cleared it
dragmodels44 Posted May 12, 2017 Author Posted May 12, 2017 I used the Sox and Martin reissue kit. So I know I've got the wrong hood. Just didn't feel like ordering another one.
NYLIBUD Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 Very cool cars.Always liked Pro stocks from the 70s,and 80s er.a..
NYLIBUD Posted May 15, 2017 Posted May 15, 2017 Hey Dragmodels, again I see you are a fan of 70s,Pro stocks.I just wanted to let you know I picked up the July issue of Hot Rod magazine. It contains a great colorful article on 70s,and 80s Pro stocks, and the history of that era.Do yourself a favor, and grab an issue.Bob Glidden,Rickie Smith,Ronnie Sox,Grumpy Jenkins,Reher-Morrison,etc.it was a great article.
Rick Wolfe Posted May 15, 2017 Posted May 15, 2017 Hey Steve, that turmed out super, gotta love that Tamiya paint looks a mile deep. What gloss did you use? Last year I found the MPC Auto Scope Barracuda pro street kit which I think is the same kit as the old Motown Missile with just different rims, also staurday I picked up another Sox and Martin cuda kit that I plan to use the chassis and motor for my motown missile car. Also if you can find the June 2016 Scale Auto issue they have a good article on upgrading the Revell Sox and Martin Cuda kit. Good luck on your Pro Stock kits, Also Ron is right about the Hot Rod magazine article, good reading. Rick
