1320wayne Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 Very sharp Lyle. You don't see them built like that much anymore. Excellent build.
george 53 Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 Lyle, you are definately one bad phaeton buildin dude! The 37 wheels an whites REALLY sent it off! Looks like a million bucks,Great job!!!

Did that AMT tub body need much work, besides grafting on the Revell '32 cowl?
mikelo Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 Very nice. How did you open the louvers? Hood loks great! Those wheels go very well with the look.
Lyle Willits Posted June 4, 2008 Author Posted June 4, 2008 Thanks for all the comments. All AMT '32 Ford bodies run "up hill"from back to front.. To make them more accurate, you have to lengthen them along the bottom. The hood louvers were carefully opened, one by one, after thinning the plastic from the inside.
Andy Wyatt Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 That's gorgeous Lyle! Can't wait to see it this weekend...I'm thrashing on a '37 Ford hoping to get it done by Friday.
carrucha Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 Good job on the phaeton. It's nice to see something different. Nice details. carrucha

John E. Bowers Jr. Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 WOW!!! This is an outstanding build! Please bring this one to the next meetup, I'd really like to see it. It makes me feel good that someone who can build like you do will complement on my stuff. Thanks!
