PARTSMARTY Posted May 18, 2017 Posted May 18, 2017 We lost another great actor in Powers Boothe-sadness again.
Lunajammer Posted May 18, 2017 Posted May 18, 2017 Bummer. Not an "A" lister, but he was magnetic. Natural acting chops that was a pleasure to watch.
Ace-Garageguy Posted May 18, 2017 Posted May 18, 2017 I haven't seen him in a whole lot of stuff, but I've been watching the old HBO series where he played Raymond Chandler's Phillip Marlowe. Considering the Hollywood legends who have played the role (Dick Powell, Bogart, Robert Mitchum), Boothe did a fine job with the character. Sad to hear he's gone.Wasn't very old...only 68. Damm.

bogger44 Posted May 19, 2017 Posted May 19, 2017 No, not him too! Loved him as Curly Bill in Tombstone.
PARTSMARTY Posted May 19, 2017 Author Posted May 19, 2017 I absolutely loved him as the judge in the hatfields and mccoys with kevin Costner.

I always liked him, too, especially in Red Dawn and Southern Comfort. He did an HBO movie where he played a degenerate gambler that was pretty good, too. Remember The Governor on Walking Dead? I always thought that actor got the role because Powers Boothe must have been unavailable.
sjordan2 Posted May 19, 2017 Posted May 19, 2017 His Curly Bill in "Tombstone," along with an overall tremendous cast, is why that movie will always be a classic.
