GerN Posted July 14, 2017 Posted July 14, 2017 Now that is a well-done model engine! Would some thick paint or a high-fill automotive primer help with the places the 3d printing layered grain stands out?
my66s55 Posted July 14, 2017 Posted July 14, 2017 (edited) Now that is a well-done model engine! Would some thick paint or a high-fill automotive primer help with the places the 3d printing layered grain stands out?To answer your question Gerald, yes. The silver paint I use to display printed parts has a filling ability that I didn't use on most of these parts. This paint has little effect on the detail of the part. Just the engine block that was resin cast had this coating. Everything else was raw printing. Edited July 14, 2017 by my66s55
Belugawrx Posted November 14, 2017 Posted November 14, 2017 With a dirty wash, most of that will disappear
my66s55 Posted November 16, 2017 Posted November 16, 2017 Dirty wash? Not really. What was needed was a printer upgrade from a 2 year old top down dlp unit to the newest led lcd printer.
