This project was made possible by this board. I wanted to build a Jeep Wagon that my dad used to have many years ago, a Jeep that I learned to drive in when I was just 12 (in the desert). I put out a request on this board because I had never seen a model anywhere after my searching. A member "vintagedragcrazy" a.k.a. Vince answered my call. He had one, although it was a former "glue bomb" with many pieces missing, he had the body which was a great place to start. It came in pretty good shape, all disassembled, but with a interior chassis, dash, hood, some seats and bumpers. Definitely something I could work with.

My dad's was gray with a white top, so I went with Testor's Graphite Dust lacquer and Rustoleum Gloss White.

For the running gear, I purchased the AMT Crew Chief Blazer and got some meats off of eBay.

The Jeep Wagon came with no glass or lights which I had to make. Clear styrene is not the cleanest to represent glass, but it's all I had.

I had no mirrors anywhere, so it looks a bit naked.

The engine was the stock one from the Crew Chief and it sat a bit low in the body, but it came out okay I guess.

Thanx for looking and BIG THANX to Vince (vintagedragcrazy) for the rare find! Once again, being a member of this board pays off!!! On to the next one.

Great looking Jeep. I like the color combo also. Most of these that I remember seemed to end up with a V-8 from somewhere else. The old Hurricane Six was ok if you were not in a hurry.
