Thx for the comments guys!! I did a bunch more work on the Fairlane this weekend. 

Made up some spark plug boots from WD-40 straws, and added a M.A.D. distributor and wire set.......

I built my first solder headers!...can't wait to do some more. The collector wasmade from a straw.

The front suspension is just about done, the front wheels are finally mounted. I do need to narrow the wheel backs, the track width is a bit too wide.

I love what you are doing with this one! I have collected parts to do this car simply because it was local to me ( Long Island) and I knew one of the owners. You finish yours first! lol

This one is going to be a bit different than the Prestone car. Stay tuned.

You know, I think what makes this one look really good is that you choose to not have chrome wheels!  Excellent choice, my opinion.
