You probably already know this ( I see you are planning on installing a C-6) but I asked about the correlation with tall injectors and auto trans and here are the responses I received. Thx for posting that, good stuff there. The tall injectors look cooler too.
fairlane1320 Posted December 3, 2017 Author Posted December 3, 2017 Thx for the comments guys!! I did a bunch more work on the Fairlane this weekend. Made up some spark plug boots from WD-40 straws, and added a M.A.D. distributor and wire set.......
fairlane1320 Posted December 3, 2017 Author Posted December 3, 2017 Still working on the hood, bodywork ins't my fav thing to do....
fairlane1320 Posted December 3, 2017 Author Posted December 3, 2017 I built my first solder headers!...can't wait to do some more. The collector wasmade from a straw.
fairlane1320 Posted December 3, 2017 Author Posted December 3, 2017 The front suspension is just about done, the front wheels are finally mounted. I do need to narrow the wheel backs, the track width is a bit too wide.
6bblbird Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 I love what you are doing with this one! I have collected parts to do this car simply because it was local to me ( Long Island) and I knew one of the owners. You finish yours first! lol

fairlane1320 Posted December 4, 2017 Author Posted December 4, 2017 Race cars need matching ramp trucks! This one got bathed in Poppy Red this weekend.
majel Posted December 7, 2017 Posted December 7, 2017 Very interesting build, you are doing some impressive styrene scratch building!
Dragline Posted December 7, 2017 Posted December 7, 2017 What a gorgeous looking pair. And I don't usually say that unless.... Ah never mind...
Len Woodruff Posted December 7, 2017 Posted December 7, 2017 (edited) I like what you done on this build. The Altered Wheelbase Car were always my favorite funny cars. Edited December 7, 2017 by Len Woodruff
10thumbs Posted December 8, 2017 Posted December 8, 2017 Nice work Ron, looking good! Wait till the car is painted and finished....those solder headers will look great.
fairlane1320 Posted December 14, 2017 Author Posted December 14, 2017 Thx guys!! I gave up on the teardrop hood, spent way too much time on it.
cobraman Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 Looking good ! Your headers came out very nice.
fairlane1320 Posted December 15, 2017 Author Posted December 15, 2017 A successful trip thru the booth last night....
10thumbs Posted December 22, 2017 Posted December 22, 2017 Looking good Ron! You know, I think what makes this one look really good is that you choose to not have chrome wheels! Excellent choice, my opinion. This car looks right.
