250 Testa Rossa Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 (edited) Is the MCW Biscayne any good? Planning to order this to do the Tom Jacobson Biscayne. Edited October 31, 2017 by 250 Testa Rossa
rickcaps55 Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 Hi yes the MCW resin kits are very good quality I have got many of his kits over the last 10 years I have all his Biscayne's he has all of them from 61 through 69 at the time I got his kits I got all my chrome done at little Kar motor co. I think you will be happy with them.
drodg Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 Dave's kits are very nice. I would not hesitate to order from him.
cobraman Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 I used one of their 66 Biscayne bodies to build a replica of my buddies car. I found it to be very good. You will be happy with it.
Rob Hall Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 I have all their '61-68 Biscayne 2dr sedans, they are pretty nice..I've held off on getting the '69, the C-pillar shape looks wrong in the photos on the MCW site..
Snake45 Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 I have all their '61-68 Biscayne 2dr sedans, they are pretty nice..I've held off on getting the '69, the C-pillar shape looks wrong in the photos on the MCW site..I've looked seriously at their '66 and '67-'68 bodies on their site, and I'm not wild about the roof shape on any of them. The '67-'68 roofs look more like '65-66 to me, and their '66 doesn't really look right. I once saw a guy built a '67 4-door using the roof from of all things a first-gen Camaro and I thought it looked pretty good. I'm going to try it myself for a '67 Biscayne 2-door, and have procured a Monogram 1/24 '69 Camaro glue bomb for an organ donor....
250 Testa Rossa Posted November 2, 2017 Author Posted November 2, 2017 I just ordered the '62 with decals for the Tom Jacobson car. Does anyone else have this one?
