DanR Posted February 25, 2018 Posted February 25, 2018 Guys, Help me out here - is the part coming off of the oil pan the oil filter? Also, what is part 125? Thanks!
OldNYJim Posted February 25, 2018 Posted February 25, 2018 I think its meant to be the filter on the pan, yes. Part 125 looks like a starter motor to me

And I figured it was the filter, but after all these years, I realized I was never really sure.

426 pack Posted February 25, 2018 Posted February 25, 2018 it’s a oil filter on the oilpan and part# 125 is the starter.
disabled modeler Posted February 25, 2018 Posted February 25, 2018 There right Dan....remember...the only dumb questions are the ones no one asks when needed. Most people learn something new every day..me included.
unclescott58 Posted February 25, 2018 Posted February 25, 2018 The big question. What the kit? I'm always curious. I'm guessing it's an AMT kit.
DanR Posted February 25, 2018 Author Posted February 25, 2018 My little engine is coming along nicely. I haven't finished anything since 2016... I'm committed to completing this build!
Karl Sheffer Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 I miss the good old days when they actually printed the name of the part in addition to it's number on the instruction sheet!
BigTallDad Posted February 28, 2018 Posted February 28, 2018 It appears to my tired old eyes that the part is inside the oil pan; if that's the case, it isn't an oil filter...
