mrmike Posted March 6, 2018 Posted March 6, 2018 This is my Revell Starsky & Hutch Ford Torino painted with Tamiya TS-49 Bright Red with a Tamiya TS-29 Semi Gloss Black interior. Embossing powder for carpet, wheels from my parts box since I liked the offset on them better, and a coiled cord for the Federal Signal Fireball emergency roof light. I replace the suspension stubs with coiled springs for better realism.
espo Posted March 6, 2018 Posted March 6, 2018 Your build looks perfect. Having watched your build on the Bench I know the effort you put into this to be as accurate as possible. I know it was a TV/Movie car, but it's hard to think that the Writers ever thought a Red with White stripe car could have been taken seriously as an Under Cover PD car.
mrmike Posted March 6, 2018 Author Posted March 6, 2018 Thank you David, Christopher, Jim, and Carl! 2 hours ago, slusher said: Super Sharp Mike! Any decal problems? With the exception of the white stripe, the decals went on smoothly. I found the white stripe a bear to deal with, getting them to line up correctly. There are a couple of wrinkles that I am still trying to get out.
Renegade Posted March 6, 2018 Posted March 6, 2018 Just picked up this kit at HL. Hope mine turns out as well as yours.
FUSIONBOY Posted March 8, 2018 Posted March 8, 2018 Beautiful build!!! My Boss had a all Black 1:1 that he liked cruising in.
mrmike Posted March 8, 2018 Author Posted March 8, 2018 Thank you guys! I enjoyed this build, even with the few modifications that I made.
Mercuryman54 Posted March 9, 2018 Posted March 9, 2018 Mike, I watched your build! It looks great! I like it a lot. Dennis
mrmike Posted March 12, 2018 Author Posted March 12, 2018 Thank you Joe! Probably taken it to the RTS Expo on March 18 in Taunton, Ma.
bogger44 Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 Nice work on the tomato, Mike! I still have yet to pick up one for myself, someday.....
cobramike Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 Good job, now if only my tomatoes can turn out so sweet looking come summer
Foxer Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 That's a beautiful build, but were you tempted to put NH plates on it?
mrmike Posted March 22, 2018 Author Posted March 22, 2018 Thank you Tony, Mike, and Mike! On 3/13/2018 at 2:37 PM, Foxer said: That's a beautiful build, but were you tempted to put NH plates on it? Actually, no I wasn't tempted to! Sorry!
