Mr. Metallic Posted June 11, 2018 Posted June 11, 2018 Nice work. However, IMHO, the full height bumper makes the rear end look heavy. In my head I was envisioning a blade bumper, like something based on a 59 Chevy bumper?

The narrowing job you did on the bumper is executed well. But the height that it adds to the overall appearance of the rear takes away from the hot rod feel of the build. If you want to keep that bumper, since it fit the body well, maybe just shave some material off the bottom? You do nice work, so I'm sure you'll figure something out. Or you can ignore me
James2 Posted June 12, 2018 Author Posted June 12, 2018 (edited) After looking at it last night, I believe I have an idea to not use the bumper at all. A great Fabricator by the name of Jesse James said "No matter the time spent making a part if it doesn't look good, don't use it" I really don't mind doing just that... Quick Mock up... Head Lights and Grill Reshaped rear with no bumper. Edited June 12, 2018 by James2
James2 Posted July 2, 2018 Author Posted July 2, 2018 Stalled on the Polara for a minute, so I thought I'd add a little depth to the head lights on this one. Once things are filled and smoothed they should look pretty good...
James2 Posted August 18, 2018 Author Posted August 18, 2018 Finally got around to finish sanding and priming these parts, combined with a few other things.
mustang1989 Posted September 4, 2018 Posted September 4, 2018 Progress on this one is looking good James. Real good.
James2 Posted November 23, 2018 Author Posted November 23, 2018 After fiddling with the grill for some time I decided a new direction was needed. And with a donated 58 Edsel grill this is what I came up with. Also getting a few more things sorted out...
chris chabre Posted November 23, 2018 Posted November 23, 2018 (edited) looks good im liking the edsel grille shell Edited November 24, 2018 by chris chabre

I kept the rod high because of the connecting point. I would have to put a significant bend in the steering rod, but it could be done.
Belugawrx Posted November 24, 2018 Posted November 24, 2018 Or move the pivot down and fill the first hole location
Zed Posted October 3, 2019 Posted October 3, 2019 wow ! very cool ! can't wait to see more ! the roof kinda make me think of that one , great idea
