PatW Posted March 30, 2018 Posted March 30, 2018 Having built this last year, I noticed the decals starting to peel off, so decided to give it a facelift. I removed all exterior ,bed decals and windscreen chrome trim, keeping wood slatted seats. Made a black toneau cover, removed board hanger and filled hole, and repainted interior and exterior of camper shell. Original...... Resto..........................
TooOld Posted March 30, 2018 Posted March 30, 2018 Nice makeover Pat , I like it with the black tonneau cover !
PatW Posted March 30, 2018 Author Posted March 30, 2018 Cheers Bob, yes so easy with a piece of plasticard and matt black paint!
OldTrucker Posted March 30, 2018 Posted March 30, 2018 Nice job on the refinish! One of my favorite customs! I have a glue bomb original built kit that I picked up to use for parts and one of the old repops for a base to build it as original.
espo Posted March 30, 2018 Posted March 30, 2018 To bad about the decals I really liked your original build on this. Is the new "camper" from that kit ?
PatW Posted March 30, 2018 Author Posted March 30, 2018 Hi espo. Yes all the parts from the original build, just without the decals.
