Mock-up to confirm stance with the chassis assembled.  Wheels will get additional detail painting,  need to work on the rear hatch fit.

Is the hatch from the same kit as the shell, or is the  'fit' that bad? NP on the pics .

It is from the same kit Lloyd.  The glass and the hatch are only taped together in the photo so I'm sure I can get a better fit.

Rally teams moved the fuel fill to the back of the car.

Drilled and chamfered a hole in the body and fabricated the simple fuel cap.

Super easy to make Mike:

• Punch out the cap from sheet stock
• I like to round off the top edge
• cut a groove with a razor saw
• glue in a strip, sand, shape
• your done

Yea Lloyd happy with the hatch for now.  I'll check it again after paint and before I permanently attach it.

I would make the cap smaller. On the picture, it looks like it is really pushed in, yours looks more like it is very snug and flush with the bodywork.

Cool idea though!
