i decided to shoot Lime-gold kandy! and i really like how it came out. Now is wetsand time, then gel pens, foil and final clear.

did 1 shot of clear, to seal it all in, since the gel pens dont dry, unless cleared. so now I can wait, wetsand again, do some more penwork, and a bit of gold leaf. then 4 or so more clear coats.

Btw im using Dupont Premier chroma-clear through a Paasche vls-t

Great paint work! Very nice resin bodies, too. It's gonna look sharp!

What are gel pens?

Thanx,

B.

thanks for all the comments guys!

Gel pens are just your everyday school supply, the ink is a thicker gel in different colors, you can draw pinstripes, outlines, designs etc. But you have to clear over it so that it doesnt smudge, because they do not fuly dry. the best ones are the Rose Art brand.

he goes by the name Betoscustoms on Layitlow.com model forum. When he first cast them they were around 100.00 /each, but im not sure what they are at now.

Detail is great. the vert comes with moulded in hood. but comes with an aftermarket Castle grille. Uptop, down boot, door panels, second shirts, conti. kit. so its all there. And they use the Impala ss (94-6) kit, or caprice taxi/firechief/police, as a donor. The 4dr fleetwods come with open hood, but you have to use the wupet cowl from the impala.

I decided on the color for my top/ boot and guts... Light sandy tan. Goes well with the paint, im quite happy with how it came out.

I never did finish this one, but i got the body all done.

did my gel pen work on the hood and trunk, all I did was outline the couple patterns, followed by some gold foil, and a few more generous coats of Dupont premier chroma clear. In the last coat I mixed in a little bit of murano blue pearl. It is hard to see it, but in the right light, it shimmers.

I also painted the lips on some 1109`s Gold, as well as the knock offs

As much as these builds are not “my cup of teaâ€, you sure know what you are doing! Great vision on the paint jobs, I am very much impressed with your ability. Absolutely amazing paint!!! Great job.
