dimaxion Posted July 10, 2018 Posted July 10, 2018 (edited) This is not a modern Styrene kit . It is a resin form way back now . It took me over a year getting hr pinstriping correct boith color and locations . I am horrioble at painting People . Greg Smith did these for me . I hate these Monogran Tires made in the '90's . 30 years after the batmobile thse Tires wee replicated in Monogram Kits . Ughhhh .. Enjoy . Thanx .. PS , the front View is cloudy here . Sorry about that . I use this as my Screen Saver . It is clear on my screen . Edited July 10, 2018 by dimaxion
Modelbuilder Mark Posted July 11, 2018 Posted July 11, 2018 OMG, I think that may be the same resin kit I built for a friend a little over 20 years ago. It was kinda rough, but your turned out looking good.
dimaxion Posted July 14, 2018 Author Posted July 14, 2018 Yes , this caster offered along with the Batmobile : The Car . Green Hornet's Modified Imperial , plus 2 more . This is the one I had the funds for before he disappeared into resin lore . Yes , Black finish . Mucho Bondo . If it was a 1:1 , no magnet in it's right mind would be attracted to this one . Striping was done in Phosphorescent Red and Orange layered . I would not be able to replicate this today . May I quote the Animals ? "When I was young .. " I saw the others built up as they were part of his display at the Toledo Show . Thanx ..
spencer1984 Posted July 16, 2018 Posted July 16, 2018 Very cool! I have the Black Beauty from this series, and yeah - it'll need a ton of work to get right...much respect for what you did here! Glad I went with Planet X and Jimmy Flintstone for The Car and Batmobile.
