Dave B Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 I started this build about 30 years ago, assembling the chassis, suspension and block, then for some reason I put it away. When looking for a "quick" build the other day I decided to pull it out of the pile and complete it. I'm really not sure why I didn't finish it originally, it is a really nice kit with plenty of detail but not fiddly. The worst part was getting 30 year old decals to release from the backing paper and conform to the body work but with warm soapy water to release and Microset/Microsol to get them to lay they turned out OK.The build is basically box stock and the paint is auto acrylic white covered in auto clear. Tks for looking Dave B
bbowser Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 Well done. I'm thinking you were very lucky with the decals! I've got some half that age that fall apart if you look at them.
webestang Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 Very nice!!!! As others have said you got lucky with the decals. I have a bunch of those kits and all the decals are unusable.
John Jacobs Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 That's a nice car. I'm surprised you had such good results with decals of that age.

donb Posted July 29, 2018 Posted July 29, 2018 Great looking IMSA Mustang. I am building the Folgers car right now and hope the decals will work.
