Hoffman Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 Last entry in the 'Club 409' series. This is the only one I built that actually came with a W motor. The valve covers are brass. The Weber cross-ram manifold is solder. The Daisy mags came from the Monogram Vega kit, with the center caps changed and the spokes painted, trying to make them look more like Ronal R9's, which were popular at the time I built this, around 1987. Seats are Recarro buckets.
misterNNL Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 Nice job bringing your '58 into the 21st.century.looks very do-able in real life. Thanks for sharing.
Bucky Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 Very nice! Really like the screen panels on the hood. The color looks great on this one, too!
Snake45 Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 Very nice! You've really cleaned up the look of the '58 by losing a bunch of the gingerbread. You're inspiring me to try to do something like this. Model on!
espo Posted October 2, 2018 Posted October 2, 2018 I had never seen a '58 built with the custom front end before. That and the rear bumper treatment really change the look of the body. By removing the simulated side vents and the chrome hash marks on the rear fender you made the body seem lighter. Very nice custom.
slusher Posted October 2, 2018 Posted October 2, 2018 Great looking custom! Very sinister looking and unique...
Dave Darby Posted October 2, 2018 Posted October 2, 2018 That's the height of 80s coolness. Shoulda been an SAE feature model.
