Does any company make a model of a 1968 Mustang fastback with Cobra Jet engine?

Ya know. I am not sure.

I know there is a 68 Shelby, it's probably got a CJ in it. I am not sure if AMT did a standard Fastback version of that kit or not. There is a 67 w/o an CJ. I would have to go looking through my Mustang kits.

I think Revell is going to do their metal "Bullitt" mustang in plastic later on this year.

AMT's excellent 67 fastback could easily be turned into a 68 with the addition of side marker lights and a 68 steering wheel. There are plenty of "FE" engines in 1/25 scale. The AMT (ex-MPC) 69 fastback has the Cobra-Jet valve covers and air cleaner/hood scoop.

Not sure if it's got a Cobra Jet (kit engine looks tame; round air cleaner); this is the diecast '68 fastback that was done by Revell (following their Bullitt and '67 Shelby variants of the same basic kit) in the "American Dreams" series. This is the kit that is currently going through a transformation into a plastic kit by Revell (also the Bullitt). It's a pretty nice kit. I think the '68 and the Bullitt will be out late this year/early next year.

sorry i am not a buff on Mustangs, just trying to help.

Nice to see the old box art..I have a couple of the AMTs, but none of the MPC ones. Looking forward to the new Revell kits.

There are really no readily available 68's other than the oldies. The Revell will be out soon, and I assume it'll be a nice kit. The AMT 67 is a great kit if your looking for just the body style. I am looking foward to the Revell 69.
