Sledsel Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 (edited) I usually build cars, but have decided to dabble in trucks for a little change. I am building the Freightliner SD/DD and have assembled the 2 pieces of the cab. I have it lined up pretty well, but will need some filler. How do I fix the rivets? Should I attempt or just live with it? I do have the seams pretty nice and thought of masking and doing a filler prime just on the seam Thought about not filling the seam line, may drive me crazy. High octane Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 I believe that Pro-Tech offers rivets in their product line as they have great stuff and service.
Ace-Garageguy Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 (edited) I bought Archer's rivets to do this specific Freightliner kit, as well as the tub of a D-type Jag. Edited October 16, 2018 by Ace-Garageguy
Sledsel Posted October 17, 2018 Author Posted October 17, 2018 Thank you everyone.... Lots of great info here.
Fat Brian Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 The rivets on top of the cab are wrong anyway so losing them or redoing them wouldn't be a bad thing. I believe there is a post on the truck forum with a picture of the correct pattern for the rivets.
peteski Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 While this thread is not in the wrong section (here), it might get even better response if it was in the Trucks section.
