randyc Posted October 19, 2018 Posted October 19, 2018 Some photos of the black GSX I scored (free) recently. It's not a correct color, but I felt like it needed a little detailing anyway and it would look pretty good on the shelf. I worked on the grille, chromed the rockers, blacked the wheels, and added some white letters. I'm good with it.
Geno Posted October 19, 2018 Posted October 19, 2018 Wow, that looks really sweet Randy, great job on the detailing, that really woke it up.
randyc Posted October 23, 2018 Author Posted October 23, 2018 Thanks. I really like the tiny little GSX on the rear of the spoiler. If I ever run across some testors bug yellow or whatever it is, I may paint the tach. I think that color would match the stripe.
Geno Posted October 24, 2018 Posted October 24, 2018 Randy, I used Krylon Sun Yellow when I painted this Monogram GSX, it's about as close as you can get to the factory color without actually getting the factory color lol. It should work good for the tach.

Geno Posted October 24, 2018 Posted October 24, 2018 Thanks Randy, gotcha on the color, sounds like it might be one of those test to match projects lol.
randyc Posted October 26, 2018 Author Posted October 26, 2018 yep. I think the bug yellow will come close or be a drop or two in some direction to match it. Or now that I think about it, the yellow testors acrylic paint marker might be close. I'll have to look this weekend.
