Tom Louis Posted November 5, 2018 Posted November 5, 2018 (edited) Some of the fellas mentioned that this kit had some fit issues. By the time I kitbashed this sucker, I couldn't really tell, myself! I love this old series of kits, but must realize how prototypically incorrect they are. This one, in particular, I discarded the tires, roll cage, and cut down the interior tub. Scratch built the roll cage. By the time I was finished it would have been less work had I used the Revell stock '66 kit. None the less, I enjoyed the challenge! bbowser Posted November 5, 2018 Posted November 5, 2018 Outstanding model! I can picture it on a 1/4 mile bullring.
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted November 13, 2018 Posted November 13, 2018 I really like what you've come up with here!! Great work!!
iBorg Posted November 13, 2018 Posted November 13, 2018 Nice model......serious question. Was this car body style popular on the round tracks. I remember Tri-5 Chevys, Chevelles, Novas, and Camaros but not the Impala. It was a whole lot of metal to throw around corners.
yellowsportwagon Posted November 13, 2018 Posted November 13, 2018 We ran some in the Chicago area. Not as popular as the smaller cars but they worked if set up right.
