Hotrod 97 Posted November 27, 2018 Posted November 27, 2018 I have some old 1:25 scale Top Fuel dragsters that I plan on restoring. When I do restore them, I’d like to keep em dust-free. Any advice on storing them?
cobraman Posted November 27, 2018 Posted November 27, 2018 I think a company called Casey (?) makes ones long enough to hold them.
Ace-Garageguy Posted November 27, 2018 Posted November 27, 2018 Carney Plastics https://shop.carneyplastics.com/Dragster-Display-Case-Single-Car-Black-Acrylic-Base-with-Mirror-Inset-P548.aspx Or...it's not really too difficult to fabricate clear acrylic display boxes from sheet and MEK solvent glue. Many cities still have plastic-fabricator or plastic-supply companies that stock the necessary materials. Make up a nice wooden base, maybe top it with fine sandpaper to represent blacktop, paint some lines on it.
cobraman Posted November 27, 2018 Posted November 27, 2018 Thanks for the correction Bill. That's the name I was trying to think of.
Hotrod 97 Posted November 27, 2018 Author Posted November 27, 2018 Thanks for the replies, guys! I may look into buiding a display case.
Oldcarfan27 Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 You might try craft stores like Michael's for a display case like that. I remember them selling display cases for collectibles a while back. They might have just what you need. Possibly check online too, I know diecast collectors use them a lot for their cars - and they don't even build them!? (my dig @ diecast collectors)
Len Woodruff Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 I bought a case for a 1/64 semi-truck trailer for my Freight Train Gasser. It had a mirror base too.

Expand Those are available at Hobby Lobby, might be a little too short for modern top fueler with the big wing out back.
