Mat Irvine built that NASA Poncho.

I've held it in my hands at Telford a few years back.

And before anyone asks "What's the deal with the one goofy tailfin?", that's almost certainly a Collins 37R-2 antenna for radio communications with aircraft. B)

Cool! Did you use the Revell Mustang kit?

I did, and used Tamiya TS 44 paint

Is that TS44 a good match for the USAF Strata-Blue?

I'm on the look out for that Mustang. Should have got one when Hooby Looby was clearing them out a few years back.

TS-44 is a close enough match, use this Revell kit it has all the stock parts included..

1990 Mustang LX 5.0 Drag Racer Revell 85-4195 1/25 Plastic Model Kit ...

Thank You, Al. I was not aware that kit had all the stock parts in it.

That kit is still at Hooby Looby, and I can source the TS44 too.

All I'll need are decals. And I can solve that issue, after the car is painted.

Again, Many Thanks!

We had one at PAFB Fla when the U2 was stationed there.

In this pic it looks a 4eye car, probably 85 or 86, going by the taillights & mirrors. Guessing they had aero cars in service also.
