ewetwo Posted December 1, 2018 Posted December 1, 2018 (edited) I bought this kit that was 90 percent built. Brush painted orange. I was able to get it apart and I re-did the interior and exterior. This was soaked in purple power 4 times because I would somehow make the paint crinkle. Decals? Or no decals. Edited December 21, 2018 by ewetwo
High octane Posted December 1, 2018 Posted December 1, 2018 Looks good without decals, however I believe SLIXX makes the General decals if you want to add them later and don't have any.
ewetwo Posted December 1, 2018 Author Posted December 1, 2018 Thank you. I have the decals. Just didn’t know if I wanted to put them on. I kind of like it’s plain.
Red318 Posted December 1, 2018 Posted December 1, 2018 i've never seen a plain orange Charger and I actually think that looks great without the decals. Makes it kinda special - putthe decals on and it becomes another General Lee.
ewetwo Posted December 1, 2018 Author Posted December 1, 2018 You are right David. I like it this way.
Slotto Posted December 2, 2018 Posted December 2, 2018 I agree, leave off the decals. She looks great!
peekay Posted December 2, 2018 Posted December 2, 2018 I wouldn't have even looked at this if you hadn't said there were no decals - looks MUCH better IMHO. I'm also impressed with your brush-painted body - not easy to do it this nicely.

montelsc Posted December 2, 2018 Posted December 2, 2018 Looks good without the decals maybe because im so used to seeing them fully decaled

disconovaman Posted December 4, 2018 Posted December 4, 2018 I'd say as much as I love the General I'd leave the decals off this one... Looks clean, and you can still see the General lee connection. I'd even add the pushbar. I beleive if I owned a real 69 Charger it would be orange with tan interior... I love that color combination. Nice save too, I've been particularly intrested in restoring Build ups here latley.
Deuces Posted December 6, 2018 Posted December 6, 2018 I'm with them^^^^^guys.... Looks great without the decals.... I quit watching the show when I found out how many R/T Chargers were destroyed during the making of the TV series.... What a shame... ?
TooOld Posted December 6, 2018 Posted December 6, 2018 Much much better without the DOH decals , beautiful Charger !
olschoolkid Posted December 8, 2018 Posted December 8, 2018 I agree with everyone else. I think the General Lee is perhaps one of the most commonly built models out there. As much as I love the General Lee, I think it's nice to see just a standard looking Dodge Charger now and then. I personally think the Charger was a beautiful car either way.
Duntov Posted December 21, 2018 Posted December 21, 2018 Add the decals.....(Nice work so far by the way.....)
